I was very excited about the route I had planned for us this Sunday as it was going to be the route I ride more often than any others. The route is a perfect 50km route with lots of hills a to start, great scenery along Conestoga Lake and a nice flat finish but when I was there on Monday a big section of the route has been torn up for construction so it will need to wait. My hope is that it will be rideable in time for our Big Summer Ride and BBQ on August 17th.
So the new plan is that we ride a route that is nearly the same as last week's ride. I thought this would work as last week only a handful of us decided to ride. The only changes to this week's route is that we will continue through Ariss and turn on 4th Line instead of 8th Line (this had a bit of a rough section to it). Now that we are getting into longer rides be sure to bring lots of fluids and it might be time to start thinking about nutrition while riding.
